Continuity
Continuity is one of the defining parts of the Iris workflow. Once a user accepts a generated result, Iris can push that decision further through the surrounding cut so the edit feels authored instead of isolated. What continuity means in Iris
In this project, continuity is about preserving a chosen visual interpretation across time. That usually means:- keeping the visual style consistent
- maintaining object persistence and appearance
- ensuring smooth transitions between edited and unedited segments
Continuity Propagation
When an edit is accepted, Iris analyzes the surrounding frames and segments to intelligently apply or adapt the changes. This might involve:- Interpolation: Smoothly blending the new edit with adjacent footage.
- Style Transfer: Applying the visual style of the accepted edit to nearby frames.
- Object Tracking: Ensuring modified objects maintain their identity and appearance as they move through the scene.
Agent-Assisted Continuity
The Iris agent is equipped with tools to help manage and evaluate continuity. For instance, thescore_continuity tool allows the agent to assess how well an edit maintains visual consistency with its surroundings, providing feedback that can guide further refinement. This helps users and agents make informed decisions to preserve the overall integrity of the video.
